WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Receive this day as a gift from God to you. Draw near to Him, surrender what you dislike the most, and tell Him: "If you wish, you can make me clean" (Mk 1:40). Follow the example of the leper who "came out of his isolation, for in Jesus, he finds God who shares his pain. Jesus' attitude attracts and pushes us out of ourselves to trust in him and his story of pain" (Pope Francis). This opportunity is for you, that you can freely give yourself to those you come across today. Discuss these things with Jesus and offer up your day. Our Father...
WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
Take some time to calm your heart. Pope Francis talks about Jesus' example: "While the law prohibited touching lepers, he was moved, extended his hand, and touched him to heal him. Do not limit yourself to words without acting on them. To touch lovingly means to establish a relationship, to enter into communion, to involve oneself in the life of another until the point of sharing their wounds." Who is near you that needs our closeness; who needs your embrace? Ask Jesus for his compassionate heart and pray for the monthly intention.
WITH JESUS IN THE NIGHT
The day is ending; return now to your interior and review the different people, sitatuons, and events that passed through your day. Appreciate all of it; everything is a gift. Which one of your neighbors was close by you today, asking something of you like your time, a smile, a greeting, or for you to listen and understand? Were you able to recognize that person in your family, your office, your neighborhood? Ask forgiveness if you passed over these people. Tomorrow, resolve to welcome those who draw near to you. Pray that religious descrimination and persecution may end. Hail Mary...
